How the conversion works
Each unit has an exact factor to the kilogram. The international avoirdupois pound is defined as exactly 0.45359237 kilograms, the ounce as one sixteenth of a pound (0.028349523125 kilograms), and the stone as 14 pounds. The converter uses these definitions at full precision. A common mistake in other tools is to round the pound to 0.4536 kilograms, which introduces an error that grows with the size of the value; this tool does not do that.

Mass, not force
In everyday language "weight" means how heavy something is, and that is what this tool converts: units of mass such as grams, kilograms, ounces and pounds. It does not convert to units of force such as newtons, which depend on gravity and belong to a physics calculation rather than a unit conversion.
About the stone
The stone is used mainly in the United Kingdom and Ireland, usually for body weight. One stone is 14 pounds, or about 6.35 kilograms.
