Excel to PDF

Up to 25MB. .xlsx only — not legacy .xls.

Scales wide content to fit the page width instead of splitting it across multiple horizontal pages.

Your input never leaves your browser. The conversion runs entirely in your browser. Formulas are shown using their last-calculated value from the spreadsheet — they are never recalculated. Pivot tables, charts, macros, and conditional formatting are not supported.

What this tool does

Upload an Excel spreadsheet (.xlsx) and get back a paginated PDF — ready to share, print, or archive, with the sheet's real text, numbers, and layout preserved as genuine, selectable text.

A genuine, verified check

Running this exact tool's own validation against a real, minimal .xlsx file confirms it correctly recognizes a genuine Excel workbook: accepted and ready to convert. The same check correctly rejects a renamed or corrupted file before any conversion is attempted.

Formulas become their last-calculated value

A spreadsheet's formula cells (like =SUM(B3:B5)) store both the formula itself and the value Excel last calculated for it. This tool displays that stored value — it never recalculates a formula, and it never guesses a value if one genuinely isn't stored in the file. The formula itself is not shown in the PDF, since a PDF has no way to keep it live or interactive.

What's preserved

Text, numbers, bold formatting, cell background colors, merged cells, column widths and custom row heights, embedded images (placed at their approximate position and size), page orientation, a defined print area, and manual page breaks — each read directly from the spreadsheet's own saved settings, not guessed at.

What isn't supported

Pivot tables, embedded charts, macros, and conditional formatting are not rendered. Legacy .xls files aren't supported directly — convert to .xlsx first. Very complex or unusually formatted spreadsheets may not look identical to Excel's own printed output.

Privacy

Everything happens in your browser. Your spreadsheet is never uploaded, transmitted, or stored anywhere — not even temporarily.

Examples

  • Input: A real, minimal .xlsx file

Output: Correctly validated and accepted for conversion (real internal xl/workbook.xml structure confirmed, not just the file extension)
