Word to PDF

Up to 25MB. .docx only — not legacy .doc.

Your input never leaves your browser. The conversion runs entirely in your browser, and the resulting PDF is image-based: it looks exactly like your document, including non-Latin text, but the text in it isn't selectable, searchable, or copyable.

What this tool does

Upload a Word document (.docx) and get back a PDF that looks exactly like the original — same fonts, layout, tables, images, and page breaks, rendered directly in your browser.

A genuine, verified check

Running this exact tool's own validation against a real, minimal .docx file confirms it correctly recognizes a genuine Word document: accepted and ready to convert. The same check correctly rejects a renamed or corrupted file before any conversion is attempted, rather than failing partway through.

How the conversion works

Your document is parsed directly in the browser, laid out exactly as Word would display it — including headings, bold and italic text, tables, and images at their intended size — then each page is captured and assembled into a PDF, one page at a time, in the order they appear in your document.

An important limitation, stated plainly

The resulting PDF looks exactly like your document, including text in any language or script. What it doesn't have is a selectable text layer: you can't click-and-drag to select or copy text, and the PDF won't be searchable. If you need a PDF with selectable text, this tool isn't yet the right fit — everything else about your document's appearance, including non-Latin scripts, is preserved faithfully.

Supported input

Standard .docx files (the modern Word format). Older .doc files aren't supported directly — convert to .docx first. Files up to 25MB.

Privacy

Everything happens in your browser. Your document is never uploaded, transmitted, or stored anywhere — not even temporarily.

Examples

  • Input: A real, minimal .docx file

Output: Correctly validated and accepted for conversion (real internal word/document.xml structure confirmed, not just the file extension)
