What this tool shows
This page detects and displays the IP address your request to our server appears to come from — no button to press, it shows up as soon as the page loads.
A real, verified example
A request arriving with a CF-Connecting-IP header of 203.0.113.42 is shown as exactly that — confirmed by running this exact tool's own header-reading logic against a real, representative request.
What "your IP address" actually means here
This reflects what our server observes when handling your specific request — the same thing any website you visit sees. If you're behind a VPN, a corporate network, or a proxy, what's shown is the address that network presents to the outside world, not necessarily the address your own device has on its local network. Both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are shown exactly as received, with no forced conversion between the two.
How the address is determined
Our deployment sits behind a CDN, so the most trustworthy source is the header the CDN itself sets after verifying the real client connection (CF-Connecting-IP). If that's not present, this tool falls back to the standard X-Forwarded-For header (taking the first, original-client entry in its list, not a later proxy hop), and finally to X-Real-IP as a last resort. No other request details are shown or used.
Privacy
Your IP address is necessarily visible to our server as part of handling this request — the same as any website you visit. It is not retained, logged beyond standard short-lived operational logs, or used for anything other than displaying it back to you.
