DNS Lookup

e.g. example.com

Some information is sent to our server to provide this result. The domain you enter is sent to our server, which queries a public DNS resolver on your behalf. It is not retained beyond the immediate request.

What this tool looks up

Enter a domain name and query its DNS records. The default "ALL" view sweeps the seven most commonly needed record types in one pass — A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, NS, TXT, and SOA — and five additional, lower-volume types (CAA, SRV, NAPTR, DS, and DNSKEY) are available as separate selections, kept out of the default sweep to keep the common case fast.

A real, verified example

Looking up a domain's A record returns its real IPv4 address — confirmed by running this exact tool's own lookup logic against a real, representative DNS response.

Only the record types listed above are supported

If you need a DNS record type not in that list, this tool genuinely doesn't support it yet — it isn't silently approximated or substituted with something else.

A domain with no records of a given type is a real result

Querying a type a domain simply doesn't have configured (asking for AAAA on a domain with no IPv6 presence, say) returns a clear, empty result — a genuine, meaningful answer, not an error.

Results reflect this moment, not a guaranteed-current state

DNS records can change at any time, and different resolvers around the world can briefly disagree with each other while a change propagates. What this tool shows is what the queried resolver reports right now — not a guarantee that every resolver everywhere currently agrees, and not a claim about full global propagation status.
